This briar has a couple of
pin-size imperfections that most people would need a magnifying glass
to see. And there was one small inclusion at the very bottom of the
mortise that does not effect the fit of the stem or the function of the
pipe in any way. Otherwise, briar just doesn't get much better than
this. And it rarely cooperates like this one did, resulting in such an
even, radial grain pattern along the sides of this pipe. All in all,
this is one of the nicest pieces of briar I believe I have had the
pleasure of working with. |
