This piece of briar had a couple imperfections that definitely ruled out a smooth finish. Notably, there is a crack at the top of the bowl that stops about 1/8 inch from the tobacco chamber and another smaller crack in the top of the shank. Both are visible in the pictures. But I don't believe either will effect the performance of this pipe. I just like to spell things out as much as possible so that everybody knows what's what. |
